Sometimes it happens when you least expect it. Sandi was working. She was working at a wedding, actually. She had a clipboard in one hand and her game face on as she waited on the elevator. The doors opened and there he was, a wedding guest. He saw her and was drawn in right away. He fell in love with the wedding coordinator. Did we all just step into a Jennifer Lopez movie? This time it really happened. He couldn’t take his eyes off her all night and he made it his mission to sweep her off her feet. Distance kept them apart for a while but it was no match for the bond that grew so quickly between them. Friends and family at the wedding all echoed the sentiment that Sandi and Emir made them believe that soul mates exist. That true love can really be at first sight. And that when you find that person, and you know, you just know.

They said their vows at Sandi’s parents home, transformed into the most amazing and magical place for a wedding that we’ve ever seen. The love in the air from everyone involved was palpable. Just being in the space was inspiring. We were so very honored when Sandi and Emir asked us to join in on their big day. When a wedding coordinator and stylist asks you to be her photographer, you can’t help but be a bit flattered, and intimidated. This wedding has turned out to be one of my favorites that we’ve ever shot. And it is because Sandi and Emir were so very open with us from the start, they let us see them. Really see them and capture what we saw with our cameras. We feel so lucky that our couples don’t just hire us to be at their wedding and snap, snap, snap for the sake of it. But instead, they open up and allow us into their worlds, so that we can tell a story greater than just that of the details of their wedding. They let us capture the story underneath. The real story of who they are and how they love and why that is special just for them.  And that for us is what makes this job worthwhile. Now looking back, I can feel their love when I look at these frames. And that’s really what it’s all about, isn’t it?
