It’s a small world. Nate had actually met Katie once before through our mutual friend, Matilda (also the super gorgeous maid of honor in this wedding). Matilda has been a friend of Nate’s since college and a friend of Katie’s since childhood so when Katie and Jon decided to tie the knot, Matilda was the first to introduce us all to each other. It’s funny to think of all the little connections made each day. I joke with Nate that we always need to be on our best behavior when we are out because we never know if we’re going to be shooting the weddings or portraits of the people we meet! ;)
Katie and Jon had a gorgeous blue-hued celebration at the stunning Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra and partied late into the night at the University Club high on the 27th floor of Riverplace Tower on the Southbank of downtown Jacksonville. The view was breathtaking, the guests were fantastic, the speeches were tear-jerkers, and Katie and Jon were floating on cloud nine. We were thrilled to capture the day for them and their families and hope that these images let them re-live all the wonderful moments and emotions of the most important day in Katie & Jon’s lives.
