Trash the… Engagement Session?

by Becka on September 2nd, 2009

We met these two in at Rollins College in Winter Park (the location for their wedding ceremony in October) for their engagement session just a few days ago. This was the 2nd time we’d tried to do their engagement shoot. The first time we had been rained out. We set out happily after Robyn checked out the weather and been told there was no chance of rain. I was a bit weary of a few building clouds on the horizon but this is Florida, and any Florida native such as myself knows that storms can blow over no matter how ominous they look. Luckily, our soon-to-be newlyweds were up for anything…

It started out innocently enough.

Then it started getting darker out…

And finally, our session got soaked. But it was worth it- this is H O T!

…and does that last shot remind anyone else of the movie The Notebook? You know the scene!

so jealous. I have been dying to shoot that notebook image to hang real huge in my studio. Everytime the forecast is rain on an engagement shoot I hope to be able to let them play in the rain, but when I actually want rain I get nothing. Love it. Thank you SO much for linking that scene up…I adore that story.

Simply gorgeous!! Did you guys stage the last one to look like that on purpose, or was it total accident? I wish I could see how the other rain shots came out!!
