Tuesdays with… Becka?

I gave Nate the week off this week from “Tuesdays with Nate” because he’s been busy helping me clean the condo, edit weddings, and scour the interwebs for a good car for us to purchase. But… I thought it would be fun to have you, our beloved friends and readers, to submit questions for Nate to answer next week. Make em good and submit them in the comments box below. They can be about photography, life, business, video games, gadgets, whatever you want… I’m really excited to interview him with the questions you guys ask so the better your questions, the better the interview. Tomorrow we are planning on picking up our new (to us) car and we’re both pretty excited. I’ll be honest, part of me is just happy to have this whole car fiasco over with. We were in a position where we needed to either get my current vehicle fixed or to replace it and fixing it was going to be pretty pricey, so we decided to do the latter. We quickly discovered that our tastes in cars (and investments) is very different. I am extremely visual and the overall aesthetic of the vehicle is really important to me (similar to the inside of our condo…anyone see a pattern developing?) And Nate cares very little about how the car looks

as long as the engine fits his criteria. Other things we wanted in a car were fuel efficiency, space, an engine that was known to last a long time, enough room in the back to transport Nate’s drum set, be an automatic (I can’t drive a stick shift to save my life. I’m “that girl” aren’t I?), and good safety features. Having it be silver or black and have a sun roof were “that-would-be-awesome” extras. Luckily, we’ve found one residing in St. Augustine that we are going to try to go pick up this week.

Tomorrow maybe?

I just found out today that it has a sunroof- a gem of info that the sales guy had forgotten to ad to the listing but I noticed in the photos. (READ: found a barely there line after studying the 1×2 72dpi photo like a crazed detective and quickly emailed the poor man after hours to ask if indeed that was the edge of a sunroof. It was. Boom sucka!)

So… we’re both excited because this car fits all of our needs ascetically, financially, and geographically. For those of you who have gotten to experience riding in our current vehicle and who have so tenderly asked…. “Ugh, what’s wrong with your car?” Fear not! You will be afraid for your life no more! And tomorrow, if you think about it, send positive thoughts and prayers our way that everything goes smoothly and that the testdrive rocks our socks off.
