Tuesdays with Nate | Top 5 vol. 2

My friends! I hate being on video, so that may not happen again for a while. Hope you enjoyed it. Today, I felt the need to share with you my new favorites. A few weeks ago a did my first “Tuesday Top 5″ and I know that none of those “Top 5″ are still the same. So here’s the newness! Enjoy…

Favorite APP
Someone asked me this today. I looked at my phone, I scrolled through the pages, and I wasn’t excited about much.  Then I realized, although it’s been around for a while, there is NO app I use on my iPhone more than Tweetie, and the update to 2.0 was worth every bit of $2.99 (even though Becka refused to upgrade). It loads significantly faster, it’s easy to use, and it gives you a lot more access to user stats and profiles than the previous version. If you use Twitter, you’ll definately enjoy it.

Favorite Beer
On my last trip to Redlight Redlight, Brent (you may remember him from such shoots as Spledid China) recommended “Imperial Pumpkin” from Weyerbacher breweries. WOW!!! It really has a great pumkin flavor, a lot of spice, but it’s still sweet and smooth. If you’re looking for a good “fall” beer, this is it. It was sooooo good, that Becka said “It’s not bad“…. and that is saying something!

Favorite Music
Easiest thing on the list. Hands down, the album “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix” by the French band “Phoenix” is the only thing I want going into my ears right now. I really can’t say enough about it.  I first heard it while Bryan (from such shoots as “Robyn and Brian Get Married” and “Robyn and Brian Engagement in the Rain“) was getting ready on his wedding day. I usually don’t like strange bands blaring uncontrollably through the house when I’m working, but something about this DID stop me in my tracks. I shazammed It right away and bought the album first thing when Igot home from the wedding. Please listen. Your ears will thank me.

Favorite Movie
I’m gonna pull an audible today and change this up to “Favorite TV show”. Just to give you a heads up, this probably WON’T change in the future. I am so smitten with “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” that I don’t know what to do with myself. We’ve been fans for years, and after last week, I’m pretty sure I’m sold on it being the funniest show on TV, but only if you have a weird, twisted, dry sense of humor. And it has Danny DeVito!!!

Wildcard
35mm f/1.4 L. Done. We’ve been in need of another prime lens since Becka scored her 50 f/1.2, so we rented both the 24mm and 35mm F/1.4 lenses, and decided to go for the 35mm. It’s as sharp as any lens I’ve used, and is a lot like the 50mm on my 7d, great for getting ready pictures and sharp as anything. And it’s nice and wide on my 5D.
