Engagement at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market | Megan & Justin

by Becka on November 2nd, 2009

Winter Park | Florida

Megan and Justin have a strong kind of love. The kind that is rooted deep down in the foundations of your soul. That no distance can be too far, no time can be too long, no trial can be too much, no dream out of reach. It’s the strong and silent type of love. It’s not in your face. They don’t flaunt it. But in their presence, you can feel it, like a steady and deep undercurrent in every glance, every laugh, and every kiss. I remember thinking about it during their session and then smiling when I noticed a quote that Megan has on her facebook page:

“Hold your head high, don’t ever let ‘em define the light in your eyes, love yourself, give them hell, you can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong and then fight like a girl. Oh, with style and grace, kick ass and take names…”

After reading it I knew I had to copy it down somewhere because it’s just so good. And I laughed to myself because it truly describes their relationship to me. They are obvious go-getters, they have big dreams, they are moving full force toward their future and they aren’t afraid. Because they know that their security is rooted so deeply in their love that there is never anything to do but to help each other shine while collectively taking over the world.

They had the fabulous idea of shooting their engagement session on a Saturday day morning while the Winter Park Farmer’s Market was open and we (being HUGE farmer’s market fans) we more than happy to make that happen. Here are my favorites:

Doesn’t Megan look like a Nikki Taylor twin?!

Awesome pictures! I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago and have been trying to catch up with all of the posts. I found this at the perfect time in my career! Quick question, were these pics shot with available light? OR did you use any flash? Also, I’d love to get some more info on your ‘its better together’ sessions, but the e-mail got returned to me as undeliverable :( Any help? Thanks!
