VENTI Sized | The biggest sneak peek ever…
3 days: Orlando, FL > Marathon Key, FL > St. Augustine, FL
What a chaotic whirlwind this past weekend was! It was fun, memorable, epic, and extremely exhausting. Today, my body felt like I had thrown it off a building and then into one of those super spinning fair rides and then decided to try MMA wrestling for a few hours. Okay, that may be a tad dramatic but it did hurt. Nate and I had 2 weddings and a trash the dress session on opposite ends of the state. We took so many photos this weekend that it literally took me almost 4 hours to get them all downloaded and organized enough to post this sneak peek. But, sweet Lord, are they beautiful! I’m a little bit head over heels for the frames that came into being this weekend. Let’s start at the very beginning… a very good place to start…
Our first wedding was for Aaron and Jade and it took place down in Marathon Key in the Florida Keys. The family had vacationed there many times and the little island held a lot of allure as the perfect destination wedding location for them all…

The ceremony was held outside at a small park facing the westward setting sun.

Jade, you’re breathtaking!

Aaron was hilariously giddy the entire time. I’m not sure we ever saw him without a grin on his face…

Then came what will forever be known as “The Drive”…

From there we drove overnight to St. Augustine, Florida for Sarah and Tim’s romantic wedding at the lovely Castle Ottis on Vilano Beach. For any of you brides out there looking for a unique and naturally beautiful ceremony location, check out Castle Ottis. It’s reasonably priced and absolutely stunning. Oh, and then call us! ;)

Sarah and Tim channeled their Irish roots with homemade Irish themed monograms and a bagpipe player for the ceremony…

There’s nothing better for beautiful portraits than soft window light. Of course having a bride like Sarah doesn’t hurt ;)

My favorite things about Castle Ottis are the glorious golden sunbeams piercing across the interior at sunset…

The next day Sarah and Tim met us bright and early for a day after trash the dress shoot. Sarah was, by far, our most committed trash the dress-er and gave us full creative control over their session. And if I may be so bold, I’m fairly certain this is our best trash the dress session to date. We stumbled upon the most perfect photo location ever and this happened…

Yes, those would be scissors…

…you’ll have to wait till later to see what happened
