Jade and Aaron are from Alabama, as is most of their family. But they all escaped to Marathon, Florida in the Florida Keys to have a gorgeous (albeit windy) destination wedding out overlooking the sapphire blue water and Nate and I were lucky enough to get to be there. Aaron was completely floating on cloud nine the entire weekend and it became a running joke that no one saw him, even for a second, without a goofy “I couldn’t be happier” grin on his face. Here’s to 100 more years of “I couldn’t be happer” smiling!
I really want to go back to the keys on a vacation some time. It’s such a fun place to visit. I went once when I was a kid with my parents and I just remember being in awe of the night sky. There were about 50,678 stars that I could see like twinkling Christmas lights all across the sky. I remember snorkling and seeing little (not dangerous) jelly fish that would randomly glow neon pink and blue as they drifted by. And the key lime pie… oh heavens, the key lime pie. Nate and I had to stop to get a piece before leaving. Here’s a glimpse into the gorgeousness…
