Morgan & Jeff’s Downtown Disney Engagement

Morgan and Jeff are troopers. That’s really all I can say. Not only were they here in Orlando to run the Disney half marathon, but they were here in Orlando and ran the Disney half marathon in probably the worst marathon weather imaginable. For those of you who didn’t hear about it, the Disney half marathon started before the sun came up on the coldest day we’ve had in Orlando in probably a decade. There was snow in some areas and it sleeted all morning long. IN FLORIDA. I felt so bad for everyone running that morning. Morgan and Jeff ran it. They completed it. And then they got up the next day and looked this amazing for their engagement shoot with us. If that’s not a bonding experience, I don’t know what is! I don’t think I would have been doing anything except eating Doritoes on the sofa on the day after running a half marathon. (Which is probably precisely why, I’ve never been able to run a half marathon. The Doritoes, I mean.)
We shot the majority of their session at the Marketplace in Downtown Disney. It’s a bit surreal to me whenever I go there because I grew up in Tampa and my first memory of the Marketplace at Downtown Disney is when my parents and I visited during Christmas with some family friends. I had the BIGGEST crush on their son. (For years, sadly, he didn’t feel the same. Ah, unrequited love…) There were twinkle lights in the trees and it was cold enough to need to bundle up. We got hot cocoa from the Ghirardelli shop. And I, being an awkward middle school girl with a crazy crush on a boy a few years older than me, walked around in a lovecrush haze the entire time. I doubt he even realized I was in love with him. And I have no idea what even happened to him. (Yes, I’ve completely tried to google and facebook stalk him with no success.) Lucky for me, years later I got to be back at the Marketplace in Downtown Disney. It was cold enough to need to bundle up. I didn’t get hot cocoa this time but I was with new friends and with a man who causes me to walk around in a lovecrush haze. Oh, and he just happens to be a few years older than me too. I like symmetry.

These are so wonderful, I can’t stop looking at them. Actually all of them; the ones that didn’t make the blog are just as amazing! @Brandi: the tights are from Target, you can probably still find them (on clearance) if you go soon :)
Oooh love it! They have my praises for running the half in that weather! A friend did actually great timing even with all the cold, etc. Insane cool stuff.
