I Wanna Get With Ya, And Take Yo Pitcha | A First Look for Sarah and Cameron

Cameron and Sarah got hitched! I’m so excited to brag all about them in their wedding post later on. (Sarah is an award-winning film maker!) But for now, here’s a sneak peek at their First Look. I was sooooo happy that Sarah decided to do a First Look. When we met with them at our studio, she was on the fence about it. The morning of the wedding she told me that they had decided to go for it. The light was lovely and they were perfection. After the wedding, while we were rushing to get family portraits and wedding party portraits done before the sun went down Sarah looked at me with a big, relieved smile and said, “Becka! I am so glad we did the First Look earlier!” And she was right. We definitely would have been pressed for time doing it later. And with all the commotion, it was nice for Sarah and Cameron to get to sneak away and have a few moments to snuggle without anyone interrupting. This is one of my favorite First Look sequences. Megan & Chris’ Marriott World Center Wedding

Megan and Chris are absolutely adorable. And Megan may have been the most relaxed bride we’ve ever shot. She was graceful, lovely, and completely at ease all day long which makes our job even easier. They welcomed us into their love story and we had a great time celebrating with them and capturing these images. I don’t want to embarrass Chris but by far my favorite part of the day was the minutes before Megan walked out to him. His groomsmen stared down the green field as Megan made her approach. Chris’ brother stared at Chris, smiling, as Chris stared at Megan and tears of overwhelming love fell down his face.

I LOVE the different dynamics of different families. Some families are very internal and hardly show any emotion at all, even though I can see in their eyes that the waves are rolling deep inside of them. Other families laugh when they feel like crying. It’s so fun to watch because you can tell that their hearts are just so overwhelmed that their body doesn’t even know what emotions to express and they rotate back and forth between nervous laughter and tears- usually giving in and doing both at the same time at some point. And then there are the families that are able to truly express their emotions with no confusion. This is especially striking to me. Especially when the men of the family have no qualms about it. I want to raise my future sons that way because I think it’s so completely beautiful. Chis family was one of those families. I loved that the sons were not afraid to show how they were really feeling. They didn’t make fun of each other or try to take away from the moment at all with jokes. They let themselves (and each other) feel it, and show it. And they let me capture it. It was lovely. I hope you feel the same emotions when you look through these images and I hope Megan and Chis will be able to look back on these for decades to come and remember what it felt like when…
