Antique Store Engagement Session | Monica & Chris
Antique Row | Orlando, Florida
We normally don’t shoot in the middle of the day. But for Chris and Monica we were willing to make an exception. The one fantastic thing about shooting in the middle of the day is that you can talk your new friends into meeting up with you at one of your favorite local coffee shops, Drunken Monkey before heading out. (Seriously people, Drunken Monkey has vanilla, coconut milk lattes. Be still my heart. And yes, I’m that girl that orders coconut milk lattes. And hemp milk lattes. Get off your throne of judgement, those jokers are DELICIOUS!) You can also listen to the new Minus The Bear album (courtesy of the soon-to-be groomface) while driving to your super awesome shooting location. The other fantastic thing about this session is that it took place at my FAVORITE antique store. (The antique store from which Nate and I just purchased a ridiculously awesome sofa and table. The antique store right next to my 2nd favorite antique store from which we just scored an entire bedroom set from the 1960’s for less than $200. So for the first time in 2 years we actually have bedroom furniture like real grown ups. I digress.) After Chris called to say that he had a vision for a piano to somehow be involved in their session, I called the guys at this store and asked if they’d let us shoot in their warehouse. They graciously said yes and so this engagement session will go down in the record books as one of my all time favorites.
Interwebs, you’re going to want to make sure you go all the way to the bottom of this post because we shot for a while outside the store in front of this rocking wall. Chris was sporting Blublockers and we couldn’t NOT document that. But about halfway through we get into the warehouse and Chris starts playing an antique (and out of tune, but still lovely) piano. We’re shooting their wedding this weekend. Can’t even wait, they’re rad.
This may be my favorite. Love that bit of flare.
Doesn’t Chris look like Jude Law?
At this point Chris was making a ridiculous face while saying, “She’s not even shooting my face so it doesn’t matter.” Touché Chris.
He was playing a song he wrote for her…
♥
Nate is getting a bit ridiculous with these ring shots. LOVE IT!
Ok, this may be my favorite ring shot Nate has ever taken…
Ok, forget everything I’ve said…. THIS is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!
Happy Monday!
