Last night I went out with some of my ladies to see the midnight showing of Twilight Eclipse. While I’m not a superfan (Although I do favor Edward, What can I say? I like the broodiness.) I have read the books and I love seeing them translated onto the screen. And, in honor of the beloved saga that has captured so many of our hearts with it’s icy cold immortal grip, I thought I’d bring back this session I shot last year inspired by the gothic lure of the novels and vampires in general (to which I may have a slight obsession).

Sonja and Binh are the kind of people who make you feel like family, instantly. Kind of like how welcome and loved the smell of chocolate chip cookies in the oven makes you feel. It’s a lot like that. They are the kind of couple who isn’t afraid to be goofy, puts you instantly at ease, and smiles with their entire faces. They laugh with heads thrown back in full, joyful abandon, so much so that you can’t help but smile too. We had an amazing time shooting their mixed heritage wedding day full of laughter, languages, and indigo hued details at the Lake Mary Events Center and coordinated by the oh-so-darling Brittany at Tickled Pink Brides. I hope you enjoy, I hard a hard time narrowing my favorites down…

We’ve been listening to the Beatles a fair bit recently. We’ve been listening to a lot of music recently. With the whole moving and packing and unpacking and cleaning and re-cleaning, we’ve been setting our iPhone 4s (Yes I just totally geek name dropped on the iPhone 4. You still love me right?) on the speaker dock and letting the music fly! The Beatles Compilation set is a good one to leave on while you’re working. Try it. And whistle. It helps. (I can’t whistle, so I can only imagine…)

Nate has decided that he wants to host a 4th of July shindig at our new digs which, I’m not sure if you noticed, is 6 days away. 6 days. I have 5 rooms left to paint, an entire yard to get in order, furniture to find and buy, and accessories to accessorize. In 6 days? Don’t think it’s gonna happen. Which makes me sweat with anxiety over the thought of hosting a party at a place that is still a work in progress. My perfectionist inner child is on the verge of a stage 4 meltdown. But, I did make some headway this past week. (Thanks for enduring my interweb silence.) I did a bit of shopping, a bit of painting, and a bit of unpacking and it’s starting to come together
