I don’t remember how I first found Michael McDowell’s shop, Mudpuppy, on etsy. But I do know that I instantly added his shop to my list of favorites. After a bit of investigation, I found even more of this Denver, Colorado artist’s handcrafted goodies via his website and other shop. His hand crafted ceramics are whimsical and earthy and I am so excited to hang his moonchimes somewhere in our new place. I adore so many things in his shops from the tiny bud vases that would be amazing as place settings for dinner parties or weddings, to the tiny ceramic mushrooms that would look charming in a terrarium or *cough* my herb garden *cough*. His hanging planters for air plants seem to defy gravity and I’m a sucker for anything having to do with cute little birds. (So much so that I got one on my wrist.) I love the simplicity of his work. He offers his ceramics in a variety of glazed colors but I’m a bit partial to these organic looking whites. :)
