Come Together, Right Now, Over Me…
We’ve been listening to the Beatles a fair bit recently. We’ve been listening to a lot of music recently. With the whole moving and packing and unpacking and cleaning and re-cleaning, we’ve been setting our iPhone 4s (Yes I just totally geek name dropped on the iPhone 4. You still love me right?) on the speaker dock and letting the music fly! The Beatles Compilation set is a good one to leave on while you’re working. Try it. And whistle. It helps. (I can’t whistle, so I can only imagine…)
Nate has decided that he wants to host a 4th of July shindig at our new digs which, I’m not sure if you noticed, is 6 days away. 6 days. I have 5 rooms left to paint, an entire yard to get in order, furniture to find and buy, and accessories to accessorize. In 6 days? Don’t think it’s gonna happen. Which makes me sweat with anxiety over the thought of hosting a party at a place that is still a work in progress. My perfectionist inner child is on the verge of a stage 4 meltdown. But, I did make some headway this past week. (Thanks for enduring my interweb silence.) I did a bit of shopping, a bit of painting, and a bit of unpacking and it’s starting to come together

My newest acquisitions.
We have been on a serious Beatles kick as well, mostly because we bought the Beatles Rockband game one day just for kicks. After playing the game on two “guitars” for several hours we had to go out and buy their compilation too.
It makes for great work music and long road trip music as well.
Can’t wait to see the finished backyard, I am sure the 4th of July BBQ will be awesome, you can do eet!
