A Rainy Day, Romantic Wedding at Disney | Morgan & Jeff
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge | Disney Wedding Pavilion | California Grill | Lake Buena Vista, Florida
I am so very excited for this post today. Because I hope that this wedding forever changes how you envision a “Disney Weddding”. I know that before Nate and I began shooting them I had a complete misconception about what a Disney wedding looked like. I’d heard rumors, seen bad photos, and just assumed that all Disney weddings were created equally kitschy. But, our couples and the team at Disney Weddings has completely changed and blown my mind with the gorgeous, romantic, and sophisticated affairs that they put on and I’m so happy that Nate and I have been able to document so many of them.
And, I’m so very thrilled to show off Morgan & Jeff because their “Disney Wedding” may have been the most deeply emotional and beautiful we’ve ever been a part of. The day started off with a plan to say their vows at Seabreeze Point which is an outdoor location on the boardwalk. But thick, ominous clouds forced the couple (and the team at Disney Weddings) to change plans on the spur of the moment and Morgan and Jeff were set up in the lovely Wedding Pavilion instead. Morgan was as gracefull as ever as her plans were shifted and she kept smiling and laughing the entire day and the team did a fantastic job of assisting guests to the new location.
Their dinner reception was at one of Nate ‘s and my FAVORITE restaurants in Central Florida, which happens to be in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the California Grill. And Nate and I were spoiled rotten with a complete dinner just like the guests of AMAZING food. If you live in Central Florida, please plan a date night to the California Grill right this minute! The restaurant overlooks the Magic Kingdom and every evening the entire dining room empties as guests file onto catwalks outside to watch and listen to the Magic Kingdom’s “Wishes” fireworks show. It’s magical.
I hope the sophistication, romance, and fun of Morgan and Jeff’s day forever changes the way you think of “Disney Weddings”. And for all you Disney brides to be out there, I hope this brings you tons of inspiration and excitement for your own big day at the happiest place on Earth.
Getting ready at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Favorite shoe shot of all time. Not even joking.
Rain rain, go away…
Disney princess pins for each bridesmaid. Morgan kept my favorite, Ariel, for herself. ;)
We took the monorail. Everyone cheered for Morgan… Naturally.
The view from the California Grill’s catwalks…
Love the little nod to UP…
Jeff designed all the printed details himself. He used the Disney’s fast passes and park pamphlets as inspiration…
Can we talk about the food?! As self proclaimed foodies, Nate and I were in HEAVEN. Thanks for including us Morgan & Jeff!
That’s my meal on the left. Pumpkin tortellini = super happy vegetarian photographer.
*Swoon*
Is that… Justin Bieber?
They serenaded their guests with a love song that brought everyone to tears. Beautiful.
Wishes… the show’s music is broadcast through the restaurants speakers so you get the full experience. With an amazing view.
Special thanks to:

Love! I have been on pins and needles waiting for Morgan and Jeff’s beautiful pics to roll out and I am loving every single one of them. The photo of her dancing with her dad just made me teary eyed, beautiful!
And that cake… is just Disney epic!
*sigh*
@Gina Me too. Yellow and gray is the color of our office and also repeated in my house. :) It’s my favorite.
@Morgan & Jeff You both are just too sweet. Glad you love em!
@Mich Nicely done! The man has good taste. :)
This made me cry – such beauty and such love and specialness captured between two lovely people. Best wishes for you both.
such a beautiful wedding!!! i personally love love the contemporary hotel, especially since that’s where david proposed to me saturday night!! :)
Breathtaking photos and love the colors!
Great job Becka & Nate! I love how you captured “Disney” in a way that keeps it modern and classical :) Plus…the California Grill has the most AMAZING food…I was drooling thinking of our meal their last May!
fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! love all the sly disney details. and OBSESSED with their color scheme! so nice that the weather decided to be gray to match, haha. ps – i would totally ask how you got that shoe shot, but i think it would ruin the magic. so i’m just going to stare in wonder instead. :D
I couldn’t agree more with Morgan. You made us feel so comfortable while you where shooting us. Thank you for doing an amazing job of capturing our day!
I’m dying here, guys. I seriously have tears in my eyes. These photos are amazing and your kind words are setting me over the edge! I can’t say enough about how amazing it has been to work with you guys. If anyone reading this is considering Nate and Becka for their wedding, etc.. you can’t find two more amazing photographers or people. I hate to even call them Studio 222, because that’s too formal. Nate and Becka are more than photographers, they are friends! You two will always have a special place in our hearts :)
Morgan & Jeff
Your wedding was beautiful & it’s looks like you both had a magical day! Congrats to you both!
Are you kidding me!?! I’m in love!!!! The minute I saw the grape soda badge from UP I seriously got teary eyed. You guys did such an awesome job and the couple is adorable. Love the gray and yellow color palette too. So lovely. Please high five the groom for me for a job well done and then some. :)
Oh my goodness!!!!! Beautiful!!!!
