Paradise Cove | Orlando, Florida

Monica and Chris are soulful. And hilarious. And ridiculously good looking. You may remember them from their engagement at one of our favorite local antique shops a few months ago. They are absolutely two of the coolest people we know and they had a relaxed lakeside wedding at Paradise Cove here in Orlando. It was our first time shooting at Paradise Cove and what a hidden little gem it was. The vibe is absolutely perfect for a couple like Monica and Chris and they danced the night away under the stars and twinkle lights. Guests could choose beers from a canoe-turned-icebox or from a tiki hut bar and the entire outdoor reception area was lit by candles and sparkling lights. Monica and Chris completely opened themselves us to us. They let us in and trusted us and it shows in their images. Their day was gorgeous, and perfect and we were thrilled to document it all…

Chris, your doppelgänger is Jude Law. Seriously.

and there’s a lot of pink tongue happening with this summer heat. The only way I can get a photo of her is to chase her around our yard until she doesn’t have the energy to run away from my camera, at least not at full speed.

As soon as I raise my camera to my eye her forehead wrinkles -high alert!- and off she darts across the yard. Ears flapping, legs extended, tail wagging, tongue out. Oh the glorious life of a dog well loved.

Her ears are like little velvet leaves. Her eyes are dark brown like mine. Dark pools. I wonder about her life before her life with us began. She behaves surprisingly like a cat, when she’s not behaving like a puppy. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion she was a cat in a previous life. If that type of thing even exists.

Fatigue sets in and she stares at the door willing me to open it so she can curl up on the hardwood floors for a (cat) nap. She’ll lay for a few minutes before gulping down a bowl of water and then trying to lay across the laptop on my lap. I’ve been waiting for a dog like her for 5 years. Welcome home Eisley.
