Dancing across the water…
Jupiter Beach, Florida
We were in South Florida for the weekend to see the Dave Matthews Band in concert at the amphitheater. It’s tradition for us to stay with our friend (he’s the one walking away in the blue and white shorts in the image below) who’s family owns a winter home in Jupiter. This year we upped the ante by procuring tickets to not just the Saturday show (known for being the best of the weekend) but also the Friday night show. On Saturday morning we headed to Jupiter beach to meet up with Sonja and Binh (one of our awesome newlywed couples), their friends, and some other cool people before meeting back up with everyone for some pre-concert tailgating. This was my first trip to Jupiter Beach, which has sand as hot as fire (probably because the sand is gray and my feet are used to the white beaches of Florida’s west coast) and jewel toned, crystal clear water. It’s quite beautiful (if you can get past the whole burning feet thing.) Even though the sun was blazing hot we only had about an hour before the thunderheads built in on us (which is standard issue summer weather here in Florida.) I hid in the shade of a multicolored umbrella with a copy of Elle Magazine and took photos…

Great shots…I live in Jupiter :D and yes the sand is like lava. You get to your spot and stay put!! haha.
