Good Morning! Sunrise over Lake Mary Jane in Moss Park

In general, we’re more of a sunset kind of couple but on Saturday morning we had to be up before the sun to get to Moss Park in time for my first ever 10K race. While I was getting suited up, Nate snuck away to the lake to catch the sun coming up. It’s pretty incredible how quickly the colors appear and then change. These photos were taken in the span of 27 minutes but the biggest changes frame to frame are in the first 3 which are each roughly a minute apart. The panoramic shot in the beginning was originally 10 files stitched together so you can see the entire lake and all it’s colors and were taken in the 5:41 am minute. (For you photo nerds, the full size merged file is 673 MB!) For those of you, like us, who aren’t usually up early enough to see for yourself, here’s the beauty of the beginning of a new day…
