I just wanted to pop in with a quick THANK YOU to the websites and blogs that have featured our work recently. As a fan of wedding blogs and part of the online blogging community myself, it’s always especially fun and flattering to see our work featured on them and to build those relationships with each editor. Thank you to all of you who are supporting us. We love you lots and are humbled and thankful for you! And thanks to our couples who trust us enough with their moments to allow us to be creative and make the work that we do.

And last but absolutely and certainly not least… the most exciting of all. We won FIRST PLACE in PDN’s Go Indie Contest for this image of Chris and Monica goofing around in an antique shop. This is our first first place win in a photography competition so it’s very exciting!

San Francisco, California | Weddingmoon

I know it’s been pretty quiet around these parts. We’ve had a very busy spring. And we’re working on some updates for the website and blog that are going to be pretty cool so posting has taken a back seat. But I’ve been storing stuff up so be ready because when everything launches this summer it’s going to be a feast for the eyes. ;)

Here’s one for Angela and Josh who invited us on their weddingmoon in San Francisco on a mountain with the Pacific to our backs and the golden gate bridge in front of us. It was incredible. Love you guys!

Walt Disney World | Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Stephanie and Larsen are two sweet friends of ours so when they asked us to not only shoot their wedding but to come also as guests, we were beyond honored. Larsen included Nate in their ketubah signing ceremony which brought tears to my eyes as I watched and photographed it. The ketubah signing ceremony is a Jewish tradition during which the marriage contract (usually embellished with gorgeous artwork) is signed by both the bride and groom as well as by two witnesses. It is done before the ceremony and is a sacred moment and for Larsen and Stephanie, it was absolutely beautiful. There’s something extra lovely about carving out a sacred space in the day for the signing of the contract. Usually it’s done haphazardly sometime after the ceremony but I think it adds extra value to it when you slow down and take the time to really process what you are doing that day.

This was the first time where we were both photographers and guests at a wedding and it forced us to look at the day through new eyes. We hope you enjoy this peek into it…
