Class details: Our Sunday Funday Oneday course includes both classroom style and hands on learning and is taught by two award winning photographers (Nate & Becka Robinson). The class will take place in our home on Sunday afternoon and runs from 12:30pm-5:30pm. Snacks will be provided and there will be ample time for socializing and asking questions. The class begins with everyone getting to know their cameras and concludes with a photo walk around a gorgeous lake to put what was learned into practice and be able to ask for help on the spot.

This class is perfect for: Anyone who just upgraded from a point and shoot to a DSLR | Bloggers who want to take better photos for their blogs | You, if you asked Santa for a new DSLR camera last Christmas and still haven’t really used it | Couples who want to learn a new fun hobby together | New moms and dads who want to learn how to document their children’s lives better | Anyone who bought a DSLR camera and only shoots on the auto mode | You, if you bought a DSLR and can’t figure out how to get that pretty “blur” to the background of your images | Anyone who wants to learn how to take better summer vacation photos | Those of you who learned how to shoot film and are having trouble making the switch to digital | Anyone wanting to learn a new creative hobby!

What you need to bring: A DSLR camera with a fully charged battery and at least one lens | Memory card | Your camera manual

Investment: $125 per person or $200 per couple

This class is NOT: Open to students under the age of 15. (Students under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.) Sunday Funday Oneday is not an introduction to the wedding or portrait photography business. We will not be going over topics related to the business of photography or answering questions about starting a photography business. During our shooting time we will not be practicing posing clients for portrait sessions.

We feel so very blessed to count Pixel 2 Canvas owner, Roxanne Benton, among our good friends. After WPPI in Vegas last year we road tripped across the desert to Southern California to visit with her for a few days and take some photos of her with her crazy cool twins in the hazy California sunlight.

Roxanne’s relationship with her children is extraordinary and their energy when together is electric. The twins are full of laughter and goofiness but underneath you can see the deep wells of childhood wonder they each possess. They are perfectly happy prancing barefoot down a hill, rolling in the grass, and twirling to the delight of two Floridian photographers. ;)

We love you guys, thanks for letting us into your lives together and letting us see the love and bond you share.

Hey friends! We hope you’re enjoying your holiday weekend. Do you have any big plans? Nate stockpiled fireworks over the last week in preparation for a cookout we’re going to tomorrow. He’s also slow cooking pork butt. (Which isn’t even the butt at all… you meat eaters and you’re strange terms.) I’m making chocolate dipped rice crispie treats and a very special fruit salad with a secret ingredient that brings all the boys to the yard. On Monday we plan on watching the fireworks over Lake Eola in downtown Orlando which is always a great show. We hope you’re enjoying the long weekend! Light up a sparkler or two for me… they’re my favorite! ;)
