Without further adieu…

If you were on our mentoring mailing list, you heard all about this half an hour ago so you’ve got a bit of a head start! For everyone else, this is our passion project, finally coming to fruition. You’ve asked us for it. We’ve been waiting. For years Nate and I have wanted to be able to lead a group of artists in something that was bigger than a standard photography “workshop”. We wanted it to be the right fit though, something different from the standard. We wanted to be ready. We wanted to have something super valuable to give. We wanted it to be more intentional than just  teaching people what we do. We wanted it to be more genuine than just hanging out for a day and answering questions. We wanted it to be something transformative, something that built everyone up and helped a community of passionate people with direction and integrity to develop so that even after the event was over, everyone would have a solid network of support. One day in the car with two of our best friends we asked the question, “What if there was something that was less about us and more about them? What if  we built the workshop we’ve always wanted to go to? What if we stopped complaining about all the bad information out there and started teaching the good information?” And luckily for Nate and I, our friends Melanie and Bradford of La Dolce Vita Studio had been asking themselves the same questions. And then it just happened. Over the last months we’ve been busting tail behind the scenes to turn this vision of ours into a reality. And now it’s here. And all we need is YOU!

The Wild Rest is an unplugged artist’s retreat. This isn’t just a workshop. It’s more. It’s rest and rejuvenation and it’s intensive. It’s unplugged. That means we are going to hijack your phones during the days so that you can be fully present and cut off from all the noise that social media creates. (What? I know.) Three days of dreaming, goal setting, problem solving, learning, growing, friend-making, and fun-having in a gorgeous cabin in Blue Ridge, Georgia. It’s forced separation from the noise, from the comparison trap, from the constant time suck that is the internet. It’s dedicated time for YOU and for your business. You deserve a retreat. Nate and I, along with Mel and Bradford will be facilitating everything and will be there at your disposal for THREE DAYS. There will be intense times and there will be fun times. There will be quiet times and there will be rowdy times. We want you to leave feeling rejuvenated, with clear objectives and a renewed passion for your art. We’re so excited. We hope you are too! This is not a technical photography workshop. It is an artist’s retreat. We will be teaching but we will also be facilitating your own self discovery. It’s more about you than it is about us and we will be catering each retreat to its attendees to meet you where you are and help pull you up and push you forward. Excited yet? It get’s better…

There’s a little creek that runs through the property, a fire pit for smores, and gorgeous forests, mountains, and lakes all around. It’s going to be a really amazing time and I’m so excited. I know it’s going to be a game changer and I am so proud of what we’ve put together for you.
