We’ve been listening to the Beatles a fair bit recently. We’ve been listening to a lot of music recently. With the whole moving and packing and unpacking and cleaning and re-cleaning, we’ve been setting our iPhone 4s (Yes I just totally geek name dropped on the iPhone 4. You still love me right?) on the speaker dock and letting the music fly! The Beatles Compilation set is a good one to leave on while you’re working. Try it. And whistle. It helps. (I can’t whistle, so I can only imagine…)

Nate has decided that he wants to host a 4th of July shindig at our new digs which, I’m not sure if you noticed, is 6 days away. 6 days. I have 5 rooms left to paint, an entire yard to get in order, furniture to find and buy, and accessories to accessorize. In 6 days? Don’t think it’s gonna happen. Which makes me sweat with anxiety over the thought of hosting a party at a place that is still a work in progress. My perfectionist inner child is on the verge of a stage 4 meltdown. But, I did make some headway this past week. (Thanks for enduring my interweb silence.) I did a bit of shopping, a bit of painting, and a bit of unpacking and it’s starting to come together

365 in 52 is our ongoing photo project to document our life over the course of a year by taking a photo each week and sharing it with you all on Sunday. (We expanded the project to be photos from the entire week, not just Sundays to give us more freedom.)

I am so excited about today! Today is the start of something pretty wonderful! Today is the launch date of a collaboration I have been so excited about ever since it was just a brainstormed idea floating between two friends. Today, my dear friend Trisha and I are launching our new website: Color Me Inspired! Each Monday we’ll be posting a new color board designed by yours truly and a do it yourself template to match it designed by the talented Trisha Hay.

Update!!!! We were featured today on Creature Comforts! One of my favorite design blogs. It is so surreal for me to see my images and my name written there. I’ve literally read that blog every day for years and years! I feel so excited, blessed, and honored to have such an amazing blog give us a shout out on our new little project.
