Our crazy talented friend Rachel is branching out in her career to pursue a long time dream of singing country music so new photos were needed and we were more than happy to visit the big apple again and make that happen. Rachel has been a friend of ours for a few years now and it’s been beyond amazing to watch her take over New York City as Wednesday Addams in the Broadway Show, The Addams Family. (She’s also played the role of Glinda in the show Wicked which pretty much sums up how awesome she is.) Her face is all over the city standing next to Brooke Shields in posters for the show and I’ll admit, we were a bit dorky taking photos of the posters when we saw them because, well, it’s pretty cool to see your friend on the side of a bus in New York City next to Brooke Shields in a photo that’s bigger than life. And, we’re trying to build up a good gallery of photos to sell to People Magazine after she wins her first grammy. Just kidding. Kind of. ;)

A few weeks ago we got to go to New York City to visit a friend of ours and take some promotional photographs of her for a new project she’s working on. In our spare time, we explored the city with Nate’s sister who had never been before. One of the places we knew we just had to take her was to the Top of the Rock on top of Rockefeller Center which has, in our opinions, the best views of the city. Nate took these pano’s from both sides. I love how big the park looks and how daunting the city looks. And when I look at these images I have to fight the urge to break out in song “…concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there’s nothing you can’t do, now you’re in New York…” Nate and I are huge Jay Z fans. Couldn’t you tell?

Also… the winner of the iTunes gift card is Jessica Friend who twittered about out launch. Holy moly we had so many of you LIKE and twitter about us and we appreciate it so much. Our traffic hit a record high for the YEAR! You helped our launch to go even bigger and better than we had hoped and you welcomed us back to the blog world with open arms. We can’t wait to continue bringing you visual love stories and life stories. We hope you stick around!

Nate and I got married on the side of a mountain in Salerno, Italy. It’s extremely difficult for me to put into words an accurate description of the sheer perfection of it all. Monte Solaro is the highest point of the gorgeous island of Capri. I can’t even put into words what it feels like to be standing on top of it. To get there you have to take a ferry to the island, a tram from the port to the town square, a bus from one side of island to the other, then a rickety chair lift up to the very top. (You can see all our personal shots over on my personal blog.) Standing on the edge it is 1932 feet down to the Tyrrhenian Sea. There are no safety bars at the top to stop you from falling to the bottom. At the top it is just you, the sky, and the curve of the horizon. The huge cruise ships and freight barges look like little white specks. I’m doing it no justice talking about it. You must do whatever it takes in your life to visit.

Jeff and Kim met up with us in Salerno a few days before our wedding date. So we went on a little adventure to the island of Capri. Kim was such a trooper and I hope that I am as adventurous, beautiful, and bold as she is when I am pregnant. They took some photos of us and then we turned the cameras around and took some photos of them.
