Downtown Orlando, FL | Engagement

JJ& Nicole’s wedding is coming up quick! I can’t believe that we’re already getting ready to be shooting the first of our 2012 couples! January is just around the corner. And… JJ & Nicole’s wedding happens to be the last wedding before our maternity leave. So it’s pretty much a double party. ;)

Nicole had an idea for a rooftop brunch with an urban vibe. I knew the perfect spot. There’s something so pretty about clean, gray concrete in the morning sun isn’t there? Nicole and JJ love to have brunch together so we they brought a little branchy set up and cheers-ed to their love. These two are so much fun! Nate and I were laughing the whole time. WE even got to go out and get burgers with them afterward. Build your own veggie burger? You know I’m all about that!

Rollins College | Engagement

Drew and Blakie first met with us over wine at the Eola Wine Company downtown. I had just found out I was pregnant so I had to make excuses as to why I couldn’t drink the whole time. And with all those delicious red wine choices in front of me it was no easy task. When we met with them again for a late lunch before their engagement session they saw my “great with child” size and instantly put together the pieces of why I kept making lame excuses for not partaking that night so many months before. ;)

Drew and Blakie met at Rollins College, where they both are now alumni. Rollins is a gorgeous private college in Winter Park full of history and charm and it only made sense to have their engagement photos taken in that setting where they first fell for each other. We had the most beautiful and soft overcast light. I love the way the final images came out. A bit dreamy, a bit JCrew.

But first, their one request was a photo in front of the restaurant where they went on their first date. Never one to disappoint, Nate snapped this little charmer…

Downtown Orlando | Engagement

Dyan and Dave get our jokes. And isn’t it always nice to get got? They wanted an urban vibe for their engagement photos so we explored around a few blocks downtown. They are hilarious together and completely unafraid to let loose and be goofy. When they are together, it’s casual and natural, as if there was never any option in the universe for them not to be a couple. They made our job easy. Right from the start, from the first few emails we ever got from them, we knew it was going to be a match made in heaven. Can’t wait for your wedding next spring friends!
