They were both a bit nervous. Well, at least Sydney was a bit nervous. She told us so. It had been a long day. They had traveled from out of town, had a slight hair emergency, and then finally we were asking them to take a deep breath and show us how in love they were. But Sydney and Michael, wrapped up in each others’ arms, allowed the stress to melt away and showed us who they are when there’s nothing else in the world but the two of them. You can watch as the photos go on how being cuddled up to Michael seems to transport Sydney into another world where there are no worries, just best friends…

Nate has developed quite the talent for creating amazing panoramic compositions at some of our sessions and weddings. I can’t wait till one of our couples orders a huge custom canvas of one because they are incredible to see in person. He found the perfect moment at dusk to get that last shot of these two surrounded by golden, purple light.

Dade City, Florida

An and Michael are getting married THIS SATURDAY! Let the countdown begin. An also happens to be the sister of one of our past grooms. You may remember her brother from such blog posts as “The Indigo Hued Wedding of Sonja and Binh“. It’s needless to say that this family completely rocks. We have gotten to know them pretty well over the last year and we’re so excited to celebrate with them this Saturday.

For their engagement session, An’s heart was set on finding a gorgeous farm with a big barn. Unfortunately for all of us, those types of locations are a bit sparse here in central Florida and the only really cool ones are privately owned. But An would not be thwarted and she found this gorgeous venue, Lange Farm, in Dade City where we were able to make her vision come true. Even though it was the high heat of Florida’s summer, An and Michael were troppers- they also brought us some of the most delicious brownies we’ve ever had. How can you beat that?

Savannah, Georgia

Tracy and Justin invited us up to Savannah for a southern inspired engagement session. I’m not sure we’ve ever had more fun hanging out for a weekend at an engagement session as we did with these two in Savannah. We went out for coffee and pastries in downtown Savannah that morning and got dinner the night before at one of the most delicious burger joins I’ve ever tasted. (They had veggie patties, GLORY!) Justin helped get our hotel booked so we had zero to worry about other than just getting up there. Give us a good audiobook to listen to and Nate and I are down for road tripping anywhere. ;)

We found this park lined with 100 year old oak trees. It was perfection…
