Avalon Park, FL | Family Portraits

You may recognize the name. That’s okay, we say it a fair amount around here. Brandee Gaar is the owner of the amazing coordination group, Blush by Brandee Gaar. They are some of the best people you’ll ever meet. And when it comes to planning and executing weddings, they are the best. But Brandee is more than just a killer coordinator, she’s also a wife and a mom and we had the pleasure of documenting her (growing) family for the holidays this year!

But you know us, we never do things the boring old way. So instead of a standard and boring family portrait session with lots of “cheese” we started this one off with a few beers (for the guys, since Brandee and I are both expecting and the girls are… well… underage.) and ended it the same way. I’d say that’s a family portrait session a dad can get behind! ;)

But seriously, these 4 (soon to be 5) are so much fun. The girls are gorgeous and complete hams for the camera and were more than happy to smile and throw presents around for our photographic pleasure. They were all troopers and we had a great time capturing not only what this family looks like but who they are too.

Maitland, Florida | Family Portraits

Today is an exciting day. Because today is EXACLTY ONE WEEK from when our amazingly awesome Studio Director Stef will be bringing her second baby into the world. I can’t believe it’s already time. (And I’m only slightly jealous!) I remember when Stef told me she was pregnant. It was in our old house downtown. We were sitting in my dark living room (nicknamed “the cave” by our friend Tim) and she was sitting in the corner of our leather sofa. She looked up at me and told me she had something to tell me. And then she sheepishly told me she was pregnant and now we’re just seven short days away from meeting the little guy! If you guys think of it this week, send Stef and her family positive thoughts, prayers, and lots of love. Stef is scheduled to go in next Tuesday and I’m sure it’s a nerve-wracking time for all of them as they run around getting last minute things done and generally trying not to get too nervous. I am so excited though. I can’t wait to see little Lucy as a big sister. I wonder if he’ll have blue eyes like their daughter, Lucy. I wonder if his hair will be blonde or brown or reddish. I wonder how big he’ll be.

Till then, here are some photos of Stef’s little family of three. The last photos before they become four. I had so much fun shooting these in one of their favorite local parks. (A hidden gem really since no one really knows it’s there!) I love you three and I love you four! SEVEN DAYS!

We’re so excited to get into the holiday spirit with our first ever holiday portrait promotion. For a limited time we’ll be offering mini portrait sessions at HALF OFF our normal portrait rate and including a bunch of extras including custom holiday cards to show off your favorite images from your session.

It’s pretty simple. Sessions are available in the Orlando area on the dates and times listed below. (Spots are limited so contact us asap!)  Pick the date that works best for you and BOOK US. We’ll help you with outfit ideas and concept ideas if you want to get creative. While you’re waiting for your session date to arrive, pick a holiday card design from the 6 we have available (shown off below). You’ll be able to add your own images and customize what you’d like the card to say. After the session we’ll set up a time on a weekday evening the following week to have you over for your image premiere where you’ll get to see all the finished files. We’ll build your customized holiday cards with you on the spot and you’ll get to pick your favorite 10 images to keep as digital files when you leave. You’ll also have the option to place orders for canvases, prints, custom stamps, and additional holiday cards at our discounted premiere rate from our special holiday pricing sheet. After you leave your premiere, your online proofing gallery will stay open for 1 week in case you want to share it with family or place any additional orders.

**If you’ve already had photos taken by us recently and would still like to create a custom holiday card but don’t need the extra portrait session, just email us at info@studio222photography.com and let us know you’d like to work with us to create a card. We’re more than happy to build something special for you to send off to family and friends. (Cards are sold in packs of 25.)
** Sessions are held within 15 miles of downtown Orlando
**Cards are sized at 5×7 and include envelopes. Additional packs of cards (in the same design) are $65/pack
**You must be available to come to your image premiere the week after your session
