San Louis Obispo, California

We feel so very blessed to count Pixel 2 Canvas owner, Roxanne Benton, among our good friends. After WPPI in Vegas last year we road tripped across the desert to Southern California to visit with her for a few days and take some photos of her with her crazy cool twins in the hazy California sunlight.

Roxanne’s relationship with her children is extraordinary and their energy when together is electric. The twins are full of laughter and goofiness but underneath you can see the deep wells of childhood wonder they each possess. They are perfectly happy prancing barefoot down a hill, rolling in the grass, and twirling to the delight of two Floridian photographers. ;)

We love you guys, thanks for letting us into your lives together and letting us see the love and bond you share.

Mission Viejo, California | Family Portraits

What a whirlwind! After spending a few days in Las Vegas for the annual WPPI convention and tradeshow (where we had an absolutely fantastic time) we headed over to California to spend a few days visiting friends in SoCal and the Central Coast. On our last day we met up with Roxanne Benton who owns and operates the best canvas company in the world with her husband. He had to head back to Vegas to keep the business running smoothly but we found a gorgeous green hill in the setting southern California sun to capture a few frames of Roxanne and her energetic twins before we left for home. I didn’t want to keep her waiting so here’s one of my favorite frames. More to come soon. ♥

We don’t do maternity portraits often anymore as our schedule just doesn’t really allow it. But when Traci (one of our oh-so-sweet past brides) told us that she was expecting their first little bébé we couldn’t resist a photographic rendezvous. ♥
