Can I just take a second to saw how annoyed I am with our cable/internet provider. I won’t mention their name but I will say that it rhymes with “Light Mouse” and because of them, this blog entry is going up at 5:45 pm instead of 2:22. Why you may ask? Because our internet was down ALL DAY LONG. So sorry to all of you clients that have been waiting on my email responses, send your complaints to you know who. Tell them that you are planning a wedding and don’t have time for your photographer’s internet to be missing for a whole day. ;) To make matters worse, their customer service rep had no idea what she was talking about and didn’t listen. I told her the same thing 4 times and at the end she asked me again the same thing I had just told her. Then, flustered, she told me that my computer must have magically reset itself and that’s why it couldn’t connect, and then couldn’t tell me why our other computer and iPhone couldn’t connect either. No, it’s definitely not “Light House’s” fault, must be our modem, router, laptop, iphone, and desktop all at once, having the same issue. Hmmm… maybe our condo is sitting on top of a voodoo indian graveyard. Yeah, that must be it…

In other news, I got a banging new hair cut and got tons of editing done during my internet access sabbatical. One such session that was completed was that of our completely fabulous friends, the Olsons. You may remember them from their family portrait session sneak peek a week or so ago. Well, wait no longer my friendlords (unlike “Lighthouse” clients… okay, I’ll stop now… promise.) here are the rest of the images from their portrait session at the Gaylord Palms Resort here in Orlando.

New Smyrna Beach | Florida

It’s FRIDAY! Who’s excited for a holiday weekend? Nate just got off the phone with me and he is so excited to have a 3 day weekend coming up. That’s not to say that we’ll actually be on vacation, we’ve got two sessions lined up for this weekend, but in between we are hanging out with friends and family and I get to do my Martha Stewart hostess thing on Monday so I’m pretty excited!

We’ve been having a lot of fun doing these family portrait sessions recently! It’s so fun to get to play with the kids, joke with the parents, and watch all the little quirks that make their family, their family. I’m starting to get more and more excited to have a family of our own one day. Our kids are going to be the most ridiculously documented kids in the entire world. But who will photograph us?  ;)

Nate will probably kill me for writing this in our blog (But that’s not gonna stop me now is it?) but he’s been so adorable recently around kids. He’ll point them out to me and say “Isn’t that the most adorable little girl you’ve ever seen?” and I swoon. Ladies, you know the feeling when the man you love gets a bit mushy about children. Don’t act like you don’t know the swoon feeling! ;)

This little beauty was no exception. She was absolutely adorable in every way and had all 4 of us wrapped around her little finger! From her oh-so-evident love for the family dog, to her dance moves to the Black Eyed Peas (What 2 year old doesn’t love the Black Eyed Peas? Seriously!) to her excitement over every pelican that flew by, she worked it for our cameras and we were beyond thrilled to get to capture her alongside her mom and dad for this family portrait session in New Smyrna Beach.

Orlando | Florida

We’re having a lot of fun with family sessions recently. As a Psychology major and generally introspective person, I just LOVE getting to see into the worlds of other families. To get to see how they work, to watch their interactions, to pick up on their inside jokes… I eat it up! And our time with the Olsons was no different. Meet the Steve and Dawn. They are not only the patriarchs of an amazing little family, but they also happen to be the best landlords in the world. (And yes, we surveyed every landlord in the world just to be sure, just kidding, but really…) They are the ones responsible for hooking us up with our super sweet new digs and we couldn’t be happier. Dawn mentioned a few months back that they were thinking of having some updated family portraits done. Well, we finally found a date that everyone was available and that would work with the kiddos and met up last weekend for their family session. With two super energetic little ones there wasn’t a dull moment and Dawn and Steve kept teasing us about waiting as long as possible to have kids. But come on, who could say no kids this cute?

There’s really not much cuter than a little boy with his daddy…

…except maybe a little girl laughing at hers ;)
