Bella Collina in Monteverde, Florida | Wedding

This is one of the biggest wedding posts I’ve ever done. I couldn’t help myself. I just love this wedding. I love the details. I love the emotions. I love how Amanda and Adam completely trusted us to tell the story of their day however we say fit. I love how Amanda and Adam had a hand in almost every aspect of the day, from the paper goods designed by Amanda herself to the hand scribed details all over the reception by Adam (he even drew the tree that they used for their “guestbook”!). There was an implicit trust granted to us from Amanda and Adam and that trust allowed us the freedom to really get into their story and tell it in a meaningful way. We hope you enjoy this glimpse into their day as you celebrate this holiday of thanks with your families!

We shot our last double wedding weekend of the year. Each family was wonderful, each couple was perfect and the two locations we shot at were inspiring. Our second wedding of the weekend was at Bella Collina, where we shoot a lot but this time Adam and Amanda had decided to switch up the way that wedding layouts generally go allowing us access before the wedding to an area that is usually full of arriving guests. And because of that, we were able to get this shot just seconds before they saw each other for the first time…

For Tara and Austin, it’s all about family. And that is exactly the tone they set from the very beginning of their day and carried through to the very end. Tara and Austin chose to keep their wedding party limited to just their sisters, one on each side, which we thought was a beautiful way for them to highlight their tight family bond and keep the focus of the day on family, love, and support for each other.

Bella Collina is an amazing venue here in Central Florida that looks much more like a venue from Europe or California so we love to shoot there and have shot there often over the last few years. But Tara and Austin wanted something different so we were thrilled when they told us that they didn’t care if we shot at the “standard” Bella Collina photo spots. We decided to take advantage of the amazing golden sunlight and shot them in a big field behind the venue and in a little vineyard hidden off to the side of the property. Thanks Tara and Austin for trusting us to do something a bit different for you! I hope you enjoy this glimpse into the story of Tara & Austin’s wedding day…
