Paradise Cove | Orlando, Florida

Monica and Chris are soulful. And hilarious. And ridiculously good looking. You may remember them from their engagement at one of our favorite local antique shops a few months ago. They are absolutely two of the coolest people we know and they had a relaxed lakeside wedding at Paradise Cove here in Orlando. It was our first time shooting at Paradise Cove and what a hidden little gem it was. The vibe is absolutely perfect for a couple like Monica and Chris and they danced the night away under the stars and twinkle lights. Guests could choose beers from a canoe-turned-icebox or from a tiki hut bar and the entire outdoor reception area was lit by candles and sparkling lights. Monica and Chris completely opened themselves us to us. They let us in and trusted us and it shows in their images. Their day was gorgeous, and perfect and we were thrilled to document it all…

Paradise Cove | Lake Buena Vista | Orlando, Florida

Monica and Chris are soulful. And they have really good taste in music. (They had their live ceremony band cover MGMT’s Electric Feel… “I said ooooh girl, shock me like an electric eel…”) But the music thing is really just a plus. (Remember how they let us listen to the new Minus the Bear album on the way to the antique shop for their engagement session?) Above all, they’re relaxed, goofy, lovely, funny, confident people who don’t take life too seriously and are a breeze to be around.

Their wedding was at Paradise Cove, a palm tree studded, lakeside facing, cabana-style venue here in Central Florida (with lots of twinkle lights, you know I love me some twinkle lights!). Chris’ mom, Susan, did an amazing job of being mom/coordinator and kept everything running flawlessly the entire day. We’ve been so blessed to not only work with clients who get us, trust us, and really like us, but we’ve also been so lucky to have clients with families that are absolutely awesome and friendly and all kinds of other happy descriptive words.
