Elsa and Mitch are calming. Elsa is quiet, with an understated elegance that makes everyone else around her relaxed. Mitch is joyful, with a jubilant spirit that brings out smiles and laughter in everyone around him. Together they mesh perfectly into quite a couple, and together they put on one heck of a party!

Their wedding day started at the Bohemian Hotel Celebration where Elsa got ready in a peaceful room overlooking the large lake in downtown Celebration with her mom and sister. They had a romantic Catholic ceremony followed by one of the most energy-charged cocktail hours we’ve ever seen. There was a live mariachi band filling the entire back atrium of the hotel with latin melodies. Their dinner reception led way to an intense dance party culminating with a spirited version of “Shout” including a lot of “hallelujah” jazz hands and white napkins. Maybe you had to be there. ;)

How could I have not already posted this?! I had SUCH a hard time selecting images for this sneak peek of Elsa and Mitch’s wedding day. There were so many beautiful moments from their romantic mass at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (led by one of the most entertaining and genuinely charming priests we’ve met) to their Mariachi band cocktail hour on the back terrace of the Bohemian Hotel in Celebration, to their golden and gorgeous dinner reception inside the hotel filled with some of the most hip-shaking reception dancing of all time. The entire day was flawless and we had such a great time documenting it.

I’ve been playing around with a new editing software that I am LOVING and this is the first post that I’ve done entirely in the new software. I’m so excited to share it with you all. Please enjoy these selected frames from the day…

Carl & Lillian: Wedding at the Celebration Hotel

“He told me he sits by the prettiest girl in the world.” One of the bridesmaids gushed to me while Lillian was getting her hair styled. “After the first date he told me, ‘This is the girl I’m gonna marry.’ He came over for dinner and told my mom too. She looked at him and said, ‘Shut up Carl and eat your potatoes.’ We all thought he was being dramatic, but he knew from the very beginning.” She sat back in her chair and smiled at Lillian who was laughing the way people laugh when they are completely and utterly amused by someone else telling a story about them. She picked right back up where she had left off- “Three months in he called me and asked me to meet him to go ring shopping. He would have asked her right then but she made him wait 6 months.” She cast a dramatic glare in Lillian’s direction. Lillian rolled her eyes. She leaned back in to me and concluded, “He finally popped the question at Epcot, 6 months later, but he knew from the beginning.”

Sometimes you don’t need to know. Sometimes he knows. And 6 months later when you know, he’ll have known all along. ;)

A bouquet like this needs something more than your standard bouquet shot. Boom!

Carl & Lillian: Wedding at the Celebration Hotel Sneak Peak

Wow, May is a busy month. Luckily, this weekend we are completely wedding-less and free to just relax and recuperate. Nate is feeling better but now I’m feeling exhausted and a bit under the weather and we definitely do not want to be sick on our upcoming vacation so this is perfect timing for a little bit of a break. Oh, by the way, we are going on our first cruise ever at the end of the month so if any of you world travelers out there have been cruising before and want to offer us some advice, we’d love to hear it!

You may remember Carl & Lillian from their romantic engagement session at the Rosen College here in Orlando. (Here and Here) They made it official on May 9, 2009, at the gorgeous Celebration Hotel surrounded by enormous tropical flower arrangements, their closest friends, and a family beaming with pride and joy. It was the same day that Carl graduated from college and they had both been ridiculously busy with graduation and wedding planning up until the moment they said “I DO”. (Not even kidding- Carl walked at graduation that same morning!)

They are off relaxing on the beach in Jamaica as we speak! (Or well…type) ;) Have an extra Piña Colada for us you two! And have a WONDERFUULY RELAXING honeymoon!

Steve & Bonnie: Wedding

Steve and Bonnie are pretty famous faces around on our blog and website. I know what you’re thinking, “Don’t you guys have any other clients?” Well, yes, we have others but none that have had us photograph them as much as Steve and Bonnie! :)

If you’ve been paying attention you may remember them from their gorgeous St. Augustine Trash the Dress Session, or you might remember them from their super cute Engagement Session with their pups. The image of the two of them in front of the car has become one of our most popular images and we love showing the two of them off all over our website and blog.

Bonnie and Steve are, by far, the most creative couple we know. They are from Canada, eloped in St. Lucia, and had this gorgeous brunch reception at the Celebration Hotel in Florida. Most of the details at this reception were done by Bonnie herself! She did such a fantastic job of making sure every single detail was beautifully executed. (If you pay close attention, you’ll notice that Bonnie wears three different dresses through the course of these pictures. I told you she was amazing!) Every single guest was in awe of the beauty that surrounded them and so were we! The entire day was filled with love and beauty, good friends and laughs. Speaking of laughs, Steve and Bonnie even hosted an after party at Firkin & Keglers! How cool is that?! But enough of me babbling, you can just see for yourself…

Thank you Steve and Bonnie for allowing us the honor of getting to know the both of you, your love story, your fabulous personalities, and your family. We have loved every session more than you know and we wish you nothing but happiness as you go forward into this new stage of your lives! PS. Say “Hi” to the pups for us!
