Cypress Grove Estate House | Orlando, Florida

Kristen and Eric got married at one of our favorite local venues, the Cypress Grove Estate House, and we had a great time getting to know them and their crazy fun wedding party. The party went late into the night with dance moves that would make your grandma blush. Kristen and Eric are adorable, there’s really no other word that more appropriately fits them. They balance each other so well, are calm and cheerful, and are always smiling. Eric is a die-hard UCF Knights fan which is fine with us since the good old black and gold happens to be our alma mater as well. There were subtle UCF influences scattered throughout the day (including Eric’s black and gold wedding band) but Kristen’s classic red and white color palette stole the show. They made us feel extremely comfortable and like part of the family, we hope you all enjoy their sneak peek…

Hello my loves! Nate and I are FINALLY almost moved in. We’ve only got a few things left to unpack and a few things we need to pick up from the store  but for the most part, we’re in! Moving sucks. Can I just say that officially for the record? Especially when you do it yourself and you don’t own a truck. I digress…

In the very beginning of the year, I remember thinking, “I’d really like to have a wedding published in 2010.” It became a 2010 goal for us. Nate and I had individual images published a few times but never an entire wedding and it was a big goal of ours for the year. As a photographer, in the digital age, there’s something romantic and special about seeing your work printed on the glossy spreads of a magazine. And this month, we got to watch that goal come true.

The Knot Florida chose Erin & Alex’s GORGEOUS autumnal inspired wedding for the current Fall/Winter issue that is on stands now. We couldn’t be more thrilled- we have multiple copies of it ourselves. The designers did an amazing job with the layout and the entire spread looks phenomenal! A heartfelt thank you to Rebecca Crumley and the rest of the team at The Knot for featuring our work.

Also, thank you to Brandee from Blush by Brandee Gaar for coordinating the event and Tommy Murphy at Greenery Productions for the out of this world flowers and decor.

Cypress Grove Estate House | Cypress Grove Park | Orlando, Florida

Megan and Justin (who you may remember from our Partybooth video from yesterday) got married last weekend at one of our favorite venues with one of our favorite wedding teams ever, in the world, amen. I jokingly (kind of) refer to the grouping as the Orlando Dream Team because every wedding that we shoot together ends up being a favorite of mine and is executed beautifully and wonderfully and there’s butterflies and unicorns and magic. Maybe not that last part, but truly, it’s wonderful. This is just a sneak peek and I really feel like I’m not doing Megan and Justin’s wedding any justice with this because there were so many more details and aspects I want to show off and can’t… yet. Believe me, their wedding post is going to be HUGE! Tommy Murphy from Greenery Productions was on hand transforming the estate house and park into a pink hued wonderland of french-influenced flora. Brandee Gaar was running the show flanked by her amazing team of talented ladies from Blush by Brandee Gaar. And, might I add a new player to our dream team, Ben Lawles from Kaleidoscope Event Lighting was on hand lighting up the night in various shades of pink. AMAZING people. Seriously I want to bottle all of those vendors up and sell them as a wedding cure all pill because they’re that amazing (and Ben gave Brandee and I queso and chips to snack on, so you know he’s got a special place in my heart forever).
