Wedding at the Knowles Chapel, Winter Park | Robyn & Brian

Nov 18 at 12:22 am

Knowles Chapel at Rollins College Winter Park | City Arts Factory, Downtown Orlando

“I take you to be
my friend, my love, the father of my children and my husband.
Because of you I laugh, I smile, I dare to dream
In the presence of God, our family and friends, I promise
to be your faithful wife in sickness and in health,
in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise
to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals,
to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and
to cherish you for as long as we both shall live.”

It was the “…because of you I laugh” part that made their vows stick out in my mind. Because of you I laugh, I smile, I DARE TO DREAM. Because of you I am a better person. Because of you I am able to reach for the stars. Because of you I can kiss in the rain. Because of you I am part of a new family- our family. Because you are my best friend, and I am yours. You are mine.

Thank you Robyn and Brian for opening yourselves up to us. For being passionate, and goofy, and real, and honest, and sublimely happy all in front of our cameras. We wish you years of laughter and dreams realized.

Robyn & Brian’s Wedding: Sneak Peek

Oct 14 at 2:22 pm

Happy Hump Day! Robyn and Brian are married! (How’s that for a transition!?) Robyn and Brian had a beautiful ceremony at the Knowles Chapel at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida followed by one heck of a party at the City Arts Factory in downtown Orlando. We were so blessed to not only get to know these two during their engagement session, but to get to be a part of the biggest day of their lives and not only witness, but memorialize the love and admiration they have for each other. The entire day was filled with tons of laughing, a bit of joyful tears (I cried twice. TWICE people! Seriously? You’d think I’d be much more jaded than I actually am for working in the wedding industry. I digress…more on that in their big wedding post later on.) and lots of dancing! I’ve got tons of images to finish sorting through and get to work on, but I didn’t want to keep anyone in suspense longer than necessary so here is a little sneak peek of frames that made me stop and say “Ohhh!” as I was flipping through all the images. I hope the newlyweds are having an amazing time in the Big Apple. (I’m practically turning green with jealousy over here!) Enjoy your sneak peek! More to come in a bit…

Me: Robyn, how many girls do you have again?
Robyn: Five, why?
Me: PERFECT! I’ve got an idea I want to try…

Love love love that first shot!!

  • Becka:

I never claim an idea as mine alone. No matter how original I think I may be I’m sure there’s someone out there that’s already done it 5 or 6 different times. I’ve been wanting to try this for a while. I’ve also seen this idea done before by you guys and a few other talented photographers and was so excited to finally get my shot at trying it out.

  • nate:

wow, that’s a bummer everyone is copying your idea!

    ;)

  • Becka:

Yeah, the idea’s been going around. I got lucky that this hotel had the perfect number of levels.
And can I just say I’m a bit starstruck that you even stopped in to our blog?!

  • nate:

wow! what a creative idea for a bridal party shot!!!
