Krista and Wes are devoted and cheerful. It’s fun to observe them together. Krista practically bounces in circles around Wes and he just stares at her with love in his eyes. Krista is spirited and lively and Wes is soulful and quiet. Together they fill in the blanks with each other, in the most effortless way possible.

Krista and Wes, won our wedding giveaway in Februray (in celebration of 2/22, of course) with their airplane themed submission. And you might remember their faces from their engagement session near the airport. With the coordinating skills of Blush by Brandee Gaar and other goodies donated from Orange Blossom Ink and The Wedding Chicks, we were thrilled to complete their winning wedding package when their big day finally came on August 13th. Last Friday was the day. The day Krista had been counting down towards for months (I know, because her official counting down status updates would show up almost daily in my news feed on Facebook!) If ever there was a bride more excited to marry her husband, it was Krista. To be completely honest, I’m not entirely sure I’ve ever shot a bride more excited to be joining her husband in marriage. For Krista, nothing in the entire world mattered to her more than being able to walk down the aisle and commit herself to the man she loved. It was the loveliest type of anticipation. It was a beautiful morning. I only had time to pull a few favorite shots before we left early Saturday morning for New York but I wanted to share these ones with you all, and with Krista, Wes, and their guests. Sarah and Cameron were such a joy to shoot. I can’t say enough happy things about them because just thinking about their wedding day makes me smile. Sarah is an insanely talented, award winning filmmaker and she and Cameron really handed all creative freedom over to us which was so much fun for us on their wedding day. You can see one of her award winning short films here. It’s amazing. But that’s not all for this powerhouse couple…Cameron is a smarty pants Physics guy and Mathematician. (Can you even imagine how brilliant their future children are going to be?!) I can’t begin to comprehend how his brain works, I failed statistics 3 times in college.

I’m amazed by how many talented, brilliant, creative people I’ve gotten to meet in the last few years but I feel so blessed to me working in a field that brings these amazing people into my life. At Sarah’s wedding I got to meet Allison Weiss, a songstress I adore who performed a few acoustic favorites during dinner. *Swoon* Allison’s song “I was an Island” is featured in Sarah’s film and happens to by my current favorite.

Sarah and Cameron just road tripped across country to California to pursue their dreams and I am so extremely excited to see where they adventure to together. One day I just know I’m going to be watching the Academy Awards and hearing Sarah’s name. Then I’m going to brag to everyone about how I know her. If nothing else, meeting all these crazy-talented, creative people makes me cool by association, right? ;)

I mean… really… Sarah… stop it…you’re breathtaking.
