A Very Special Tuesday Sneak Peek…

If you follow us on facebook (which you should, because we’re pretty fun to follow. At least I like to think so.) you know that late last night I threw up a status about our beloved Nathan and whether or not he’d remember that today was Tuesday (and that he needed to have a blog post in the cooker). Since, as of late last night, he hadn’t said anything to me about his post being ready or even what he was planning on writing about, I wanted everyone to vote on what they thought would happen and those who voted B won. (You’ll have to go check out the facebook page to see what B was. See how I just brought that all the way back around?) You guys just know us so well. And, although any of the answers were equally plausible because they’ve all happened before, I think that our brains being completely preoccupied with everything going on in the next few months got the best of Nate. To be honest, I completley forgot that yesterday was Monday until yesterday night. (Sorry Alexis!) And, we’ve got some exciting news coming up that is completely clogging up Nate’s noggin, so I’ll let this one slide and save my Trump-inspired “YOURE FIRED” for some other time. ;)

To take it’s place, here is a sneak peek from our New Year’s Eve wedding with Travis and Kristin. This wedding was the perfect way to close out our 2009 and usher in 2010. It was the longest we’ve ever shot and it culminated with a New Year’s toast (and kiss… what? We love each other.) Travis and Kristin had an AMAZING day in St. Augustine as they took over the Lightner Museum with their friends and family. This wedding had so many amazing details and I can’t wait to share the rest when it’s all finished. Here’s a hint: trolley tours for the entire guest list, an hour glass ceremony, interactive centerpieces, a party booth that rocked the house, night time portraits under St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights, and… an amazing first look in the halls of the museum…

Dusk is quickly becoming my favorite time to shoot in. Everything is dim, and a bit icy looking as the sky changes from gold to blue. Love!

If you could describe dusk in music, I think it would be all minor chords. (Which are my musical favorites too.)

We are adoring night time portraiture. It’s quickly becoming our newest obsession…
