Jacksonville, Florida | Palm Valley Gardens Wedding
*First an announcement* The Holiday rush is in full swing here so please be patient if our response times are a bit slower than normal. We are still shooting and finishing up all of our 2010 projects. We will be going strong behind the scenes through the end of the year but this year we will be celebrating with Holiday Hours. Our office will be closed from Wednesday, December 22nd through Sunday the 26th and again from Thursday, December 30th through Wednesday January 5th.
We were introduced to Melissa and Brian by our friend Kylene, who while being a wedding photographer herself, was one of Missy’s bridesmaids and thus wouldn’t be shooting the wedding herself. She was kind enough to lead Missy and Brian to our website and the rest is history.
Melissa and Brian had a gorgeous wedding day under the autumn sun at Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra Beach (which is pretty much Jacksonville). The estate is described as “french country” but has southern charm to rival any estate in Savannah. The ceremony was held in the backyard under an old oak tree and beside a deep blue lake which reflected either the house or the ceremony site depending on where you were standing. Everyone ate dinner on the estate’s front yard under tall palm trees covered in twinkle lights. Missy and Brian had an amazing spread popping with rich blues, pinks, and greens. After dinner everyone moved inside to cheer the newlyweds on as they cut their wedding cake and then everyone danced the night away under a gorgeous white tent in the backyard.
It was quite a party but beyond the details it was a celebration of a heritage of love. By far my favorite detail was the authentic Western Union telegram from Missy’s family. You’ll have to scroll through the photos below to see it. I love old paper pieces and old photographs from generations past so I about lost my mind over it. I had never seen a real telegram before.
Congratulations Missy and Brian! We hope that your great grandchildren share photos and notes about your love just as you were able to share of theirs, and we hope the legacy of love never ends…

What a beautiful couple and wedding! Love all of the details. Silly question, but I’d love to know where she had the men get their khaki suits! I’m getting married in Satellite Beach, FL soon and can’t find anywhere that rents suits.. if anyone knows please email me! :)
