Hey-o! Double the feature fun this week! We were on the front page of The Wedding Chicks with our images from Beth and Adam’s rooftop brunch wedding in St. Augustine. We also found out that Brides.com showed off an image of ours as their “Centerpiece of the Day“. In case your curious, it was created by the crazy-talented Tommy Murphy of Greenery Productions. JJ and Nicole’s wedding was 2 days before my due date. We found out before their contract had been finalized. We nervously called them (they were among the very first people to find out about my pregnancy) and told them the news. After explaining all the possibilities for what could happen on their wedding day we asked them to think about it for the weekend and let us know if they wanted to go ahead and book us or to look for someone less likely to birth a baby on their wedding day. They didn’t even need the weekend. JJ told us right then that they wanted to have us and they knew it would all just work out. Flattered as hell, we hung up and knew that this couple was going to be one of our favorites.

Just like JJ & Nicole predicted, everything worked out perfectly. And with the help of our talented friend Timco, who stood in for me for part of the day, we were so happy to be able to be a part of the memories of this amazing day. Nicole and JJ planned a Parisian influenced wedding in Winter Park. Everything was gorgeous, their wedding party was hilarious, and Nicole and JJ threw a party like no other. A few highlights in the images below I want to tell you about: Nate’s favorite image of the day to capture is of the bride being given away. It’s his thing. And this image of JJ, Nicole, and her dad is my favorite that he’s ever gotten. I love that both the men are looking at Nicole even while shaking hands. The love, you can feel it. Second, Nicole and JJ hired Big Wheel Provisions to cater their wedding and Chef Tony was on location dishing up amazing grub. Tony also heads up the Big Wheel Food truck which is one of our favorites to visit every Wednesday night. He’s striking a pose in the images below. And lastly, the flower girl- crowd surfing. This is a different type of instant film. It’s actually medium format. This is Nate’s favorite of all of our vintage cameras. I love how my film photographs always turn out a bit dreamy, while Nate’s are always turning out a bit bad ass…
